Winter Snaps

The blast of freezing Arctic air made its way to North Carolina over the weekend, and even Piedmont cities like Durham saw their first snowfall in several years.


This is one of those events you don't tend to think about planning for during years of mild winters and sweltering summers. Fortunately, Jackie, Dina, Hans, Cornelia and Kate pulled some shovels out of the garden shed to make sure the sidewalks and paved areas around the building were free of the slippery stuff.
