The 2026 edition of Old West Durham's Porchfest is set for Saturday, May 9! The day started chilly and overcast but when the threat of rain passed, more and more folks came out to Bull City Commons' garden as part of the 2026 Durham Garden Tour. This is BCC's debut year on the Tour. BCC volunteers greeted visitors and shared the history of how BCC's Landscaping Circle turned a patch of compacted construction fill into a lush garden hideaway.

Many BCC folk turned out this past Friday night -- Durham's monthly Third Friday Art Walk -- to greet and congratulate man o' the hour Ray Boylan and his exhibit of landscape paintings of Massachusetts and North Carolina. (The fifth floor even bought one of his paintings to display in the hall!) Congratulations, Ray!
