Celebrating Diwali, the "Festival of Lights"

This year, BCC enjoyed its first celebration of Diwali, the "Festival of Lights," Two of our members, Swati and Manish, shared with us the story behind the annual Hindu festival, which has variations in other Indian religions.

Diwali celebrates light over dark, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. So, following our monthly potluck which coincided with the fourth night of Diwali celebrations, we went outside and lit sparklers to drive the dark night away.
